What are the spheres of “national” culture where women have power? In this video a woman portraying a self-care influencer, appropriates the ritualized aesthetics of commercial wellness and Dutch “tradition branding” using tulips. (Tulips, originally from Turkey, were assimilated by Holland in the feverish and cruel period of trade that became the Dutch Golden Age.)
