Two Sunflowers (2009)

Documentary film on two Vietnamese HIV-positive women. One belongs to an ethnic minority and lives in a remote village in Cao Bang near China. The other lives in the capital, Hanoi. Both are mothers of young children. One is a widow but found new love “with a man who can think for himself”. The other rebuilt a new life with her partner as an activist to fight stigma and businesswoman. This film shows the lives of women living with HIV after the widespread introduction of AIDS medicines in Vietnam.
